Product is a nice small size, very quiet, and apparently reliable. I bought the Little Giant over a Flo Tek because of unfavorable reviews of the Flo Tek.

"Small pump does a big job" 2010-02-07
By Happy Grandma (West Virginia United States)
This pump arrived promptly and it not only met but exceeded our expectations. Soon after installing a dehumidifier in our basement, we found ourselves carrying buckets of water upstairs to empty them out. As usual, we looked to Amazon for a solution to our problem. This pump was it! Small, easy to set up, quiet in operation and efficient, it pumps the water uphill several feet before the the hose slopes downhill to a connection to a pipe which drains outdoors.

We couldn't be more pleased with it.

 "Very quiet pump" 2010-01-07
By Robert (USA)
I wanted a quiet pump and this one is certainly quiet. The noise from my old pump (a Beckett, about 6 years old) was becoming irritating, so I searched for a quiet one and bought the Little Giant VCMA-15ULS, hoping for the best. I use this on a 95% furnace as well as a Aprilaire humidifier, and it needs to come on every minute or two (for about 10 seconds) during the heating season. What a difference! This is really quiet. Maybe it too will become louder as it wears, but my old one was never this quiet. Very pleased.

this milwaukee 4811-2401 12v rechargable lithium-ion battery was used and refurbished like new. i am thrilled with it. i paid about an eighth of the cost of a new one, and it proforms better than the other new one i bought with my second drill-driver. What Ever You Do Don't Buy Any Of These Tools Without Batteries. The bateries cost more than the drill/drivers. By the time you buy a drill/driver, charger, and a battery you'll have close to four hundred dollars invested in what i think should be a fifty dollar tool.

I bought this battery to replace a failed one only months after buying this cordless drill, and still under warranty no less !!. It is a perfect factory match and incredibly less expensive than buying the same battery from the Milwaukee web site. The new battery charged right up and works fine. Highly recommend going this route to replace Milwaukee batteries.

These batteries are pretty good for run time in a warmer envirnment. Find that when they are used in the cold they wear down fast. I have 11 of these batteries because I have 5 of the tools. Sorry to say the quality is not that great. Two of them are already dead ( less than one year ). I have several DeWalt lithium batteries that are over two years old and still going strong!!

I bought a 12v drill with 2 batteries less than a year ago. I used the drill maybe a total of 30 times in the last year and the batteries will not charge any more. I get the red and green flashes on the charger. I have a Ryobi kit that I use multiple times a week that is 2 years old and it still works fine. I also have a Bosch drill that I have had for 6 yrs and the batteries are still fine. I liked the drill but I am really dissapointed in the batteries.

The Bosch PR20EVSK Colt Variable Speed Router with Edge Guide is a versatile tool that's ideal for performing custom carpentry, trimming laminate flooring or deck planks, mortising hinges, dovetailing, and a host of other at-home and professional jobs. This router packs big power in a small, compact package for extended comfort and maximum accuracy.

The PR20EVSK Colt Variable Speed Router with Edge Guide offers:
  • Highest horsepower rating in its class.
  • Variable speed of 16,000 to 35,000 RPM
  • Constant-Response Circuitry to maintain speed under load.

Includes router, guide, case, base, collets, and shaft wrenches. View larger.

Rubber over-molded grip allows for stable, one-handed operation. View larger.
Powerful Motor, Variable Speed, and Depth Adjustment for Precise Results
The PR20EVSK owes its robust performance to a 1.0-horsepower (the highest rating for small routers), 5.7-amp motor that spins at a variable speed of 16,000 to 35,000 RPM and has a soft-start that reduces startup torque. Additionally, depth adjustment is simple with the PR20EVSK: just align and lower the motor and then lock the router in position with the clamping level. Micro-fine adjustments are equally effortless thanks to the wheel on the back of the router's base.

To help you match the correct speed to the job, the included instruction manual features a chart showing the speed of each dial position, along with a list of the routing tasks that each setting may be used for.

User-Friendly Features for Flexibility, Comfort, and Reliability
This user-friendly tool offers simple, straightforward operation. First, the collect accepts standard 1/4-inch bits to give you job flexibility, with an impressive maximum diameter of 1-5/16 inch. Also, there's a spindle lock on the router's front, so you can make quick bit changes with just one wrench.

In addition, the speed dial is conveniently mounted on top of the tool body for easy access. An added bonus, the motor housing has a palm-shaped, rubber over-molded grip that allows for stable, one-handed operation. Finally, weighing about three pounds, the PR20EVSK offers a surprisingly rugged aluminum fixed base that's durable, solid, and reliable.

Constant Response Circuitry for Stable Motor Speed
This model includes Bosch's "Constant Response" circuitry, which monitors and maintains speed under load for consistent performance and overload protection. Constant Response works by detecting tough loads and then increasing power to maintain the selected RPM. Working with stable speed lets you concentrate on controlling the router, so you'll always make clean, burn-free cuts.

Additionally, a quick-clamp system allows the motor to be easily adjusted and moved from base to base. For further convenience, an angled cord exit keeps the router's cord safely out of your work area.

The PR20EVSK comes with a one-year warranty.

What's in the Box
Router, straight edge guide, carrying case, fixed base, 1/4-inch self-releasing collet, drop-forged collet, shaft wrenches, and instruction manual.

 "Palm Router" 2010-01-30
By Amateur Woodworker (Omaha, NE United States)
Bought two routers. one for my son-in-law and one for myself. I'm very please with the weight, balance and power of the unit. I've hogged out blocks of wood for solid picture frame, used a straight bit to level up over hangs and done 1/8 and 1/4 inch round overs. The slow start up is great, otherwise it would torque right out of your hand. adjustments are quick and easy. The manufacturer supplies two wrenches, one to turn the lock nut, and one to hold the shaft. This was a deficiency noted in previous comments. I've another request, add some kind of extension to keep bobblers like me from tilting the motor when in use. no matter how I grip the motor, I usually manage to wobble the motor, leaving gouges and burn marks.

 "A love hate relationship" 2010-01-23
By busrey (Raleigh, NC)
I bought one of these in a kit with several attachments about three years ago. I have two big Porter Cable routers mounted in tables and use three different hand held Bosch routers for almost everything else. I love the Bosch routers and when it came time for me to buy a smaller router the Colt was at the top of my list. One of the attachments broke on its first use and I discovered only the router is covered under the warranty. Not long after the router was out of warranty the spindle lock stopped working forcing me to grind down an old wrench so that I could hold the spindle to remove bits. I have also had the height slip and I have the collar as tight as I can adjust it and still change the depth. While the feel and power of this router is great the other problems led me to a score of three. Fortunately my larger Bosch routers are so wonderful that I do not have to reach for this router too often.

 "An evolving router" 2010-01-04
By R. Stanley
It was interesting to read these reviews after I bought this router. Bosch seems to have decided to address the common complaint that the spindle lock button doesn't work by now *supplying* the wrench they recommend as the kludge-fix for the collet problem. I guess that's an improvement? I also notice that many users complain that bits have a tendency to slip in the collet, which led to me to wonder whether Bosch didn't reengineer the collet to tighten it up to the point where *you can't get it to accept a bit*. At least that was my experience. Loosen the thing all the way and it's still too tight for a bit. In the end I stuck the tapered part of a nail set into the collet and tapped on it lightly to force it open a little wider. This worked! A 1/4" bit fits snugly now.

The whole experience led to me entertain serious doubts about the quality of this thing, but after using it for several hours to flush-trim some shelf edges, I have to admit it's a nice tool that works well. Nice soft start, good weight and balance. I haven't tried out all the bells and whistles yet but will update this review with any further problems I encounter.

 "No-slip, extra wrench" 2009-12-28
By J. L. Maddock (Wolfeboro, NH United States)
OK, one reviewer says the motor slipped in the base. When I turn the motor to the lock position (so the small increment dial wheel is engaged) it has never slipped.

Bosch included an extra/smaller wrench to assist in loosening the colet. I haven't needed it, so perhaps they have fixed the push button spindle lock (or maybe my thumb is extra strong).

This little router allows a deft touch and you don't have to be a weight lifter when hinge mortising installed door frames. I's my go-to router for almost everything except in my router table were I use a 15 amp plunge router.

This is a great buy for any serious woodworker (I own 4 routers), and would make a nice router for an ocassional DIY.

Highly recommended.

 "Disappointed with Amazon" 2010-03-08
By James W. Healy
This is the first time I have been disappointed with ordering from Amazon. The product itself was as described but I odered a dust hood and some clamps with it and found out AFTER THE ORDER WAS PLACED that the clamps came from a different vendor and therefore the order was not eligible for free shipping and then that the dust hood (the reason for the order) would not be shipped for a month. I have no use for the reducer withhout the hood but it was shipped promptly and the hood was not. I cancelled the clamp order and the hood order but the cost of returning the reducer was more than the cost of the reducer itself. If the delay were made known at the time of the order I would not have placed it and would not be wary of any future orders.

The dimensions given are not stated whether they are inside or outside, but I bought it anyway because it was not expensive.  "Make sure it will fit" 2009-12-28
By Gregg K. Sullivan (Santa Fe, NM)
I bought this when it came up as a suggestion by Amazon when I purchased a Grizzly jointer/planer. The 4" diameter is the same as the outlet for the jointer/planer so it would not fit my application. I joined them with duct tape, but the 4" hose sold by many retailers might work. The 2.5" end fit my shopvac perfectly. So the adapter works fine, but apparently not all manufacturers measure 4" in the same way. But was worth the price.

there's not much to the package . . . just a few parts. I would have made the chain holder out of metal rather than plastic and I would have provided a second grinding stone. When the first wears down, you'll need to buy an entire new kit. But it reconditions the chain as promised.

"Does an adequate job but a file is still superior." 2009-10-22
By Terry M. (Seattle, WA United States)
I have my chains sharpened professionally when they begin to cut crooked due to uneven wear. Otherwise, I touch them myself as soon as they fail to cut uniform shavings. This usually occurs after about an hour of cutting hardwoods or two hours of softwoods. If the bar gets into the dirt or you hit a nail you will be sharpening even sooner. You can either carry several chains to get you through the day or be prepared to touch them up on the bar.

I prefer to touch up my own chains because the saw shops usually take off about 2MM of steel when they sharpen. At that rate, a chain does not last very long. If you touch up your own chains when they first begin to dull, you will only take off a few thousandths of an inch.

This tool works well if you gauge the grinder off of the tooth as described in some of the other posts. The problem is powering the grinder while in the field. Cordless grinders don't hold a charge very long so you need to carry extra batteries. Corded grinders need a place to be plugged in. Either solution limits you mobility.

I prefer the "Oregon" brand file and gauge. No electricity required and it easily goes in your thigh pocket or field kit. Only one or two strokes per tooth needed for a touch-up and you are back to work. The gauge make it easy for even a neophyte to maintain proper tooth shape and depth.

"Great trim router for my application" 2009-09-14
By R. Ross (Los Angeles, CA)
I'm an experienced craftsman, but not a finish woodworker, so when I needed to significantly modify my favorite Oak TV cabinet in our living room to make it fit a new wide-screen TV, I had to temporarily enter into the world of routers and router bits. I had several jobs to do including rounding a four-foot portion of the cabinet edge with a 3/8" roundover bit. This edge has a molding sticking up just 1 1/4" inches away so only a router with a narrow base could do the job. Another constraint was that my 3/8" roundover bit is 1.26" in diameter. Since I had a one-time application for a router (my other router is used as a tool-post grinder on a metal lathe) I opted for the good reviews and inexpensive price of the PC 7310 and an inexpensive set of bits Yukon Tool YTRB24 24-Piece Router Bit Set.

My experience?...Very satisfied...but I did some customization.

First, the router worked great with very smooth and powerful operation in all the tasks that I used it for...which may be beyond what it is supposed to be used for. I was very careful, given my inexperience with routers, and built up temporary support structures and guide fences for most of my uses which included: round a four-foot portion of a solid oak cabinet edge with a 3/8" roundover bit, flush trim 3/4" oak plywood with a flushtrim bit, mortis out an exposed plywood edge with a mortising bit, cut out mounting holes for cooling fans using a cooling-fan template and a flushtrim bit, cut off the edge of a 3/4" solid oak cabinet door and remold it with an ogee bit combined with two other bits, and chamfer the edge of a new 1/4" Masonite cabinet partition.

Though the router worked great, I had two problems: 1) its base was still too wide to ride on the narrow edge of my cabinet and allow the 3/8" roundover bit to do its job, and 2) the cutter hole in the bottom of the base of the PC 7310 is too small (1.204" diameter) to allow installation of my 1.260" diameter 3/8" roundover bit. Also, the plastic base provided by PC is not particularly flat, as noted by other reviewers, but that was not critical for my application. Since the router baseplate is relatively easy to unscrew, I solved all of these issues by fabricating a new aluminum baseplate for the router with a narrow width on one side as needed for my application, and a larger hole as required for my larger cutters...and I made this baseplate flat.

Minor inconveniences: The cutters are a bit difficult to remove after they're tightened, but my Yukon cutters all had a ridge near the shaft so that a screwdriver could be used with a twist to break them free. Also, I invariably chose to remove the entire base to install and remove the cutters, but that took only seconds.

Bottom Line: the router did a great job for me and was amply powerful to not visibly labor on my significant tasks with oak cabinetry. My custom modifications solved my particular problems, but these are probably unneeded for the vast majority of the router's intended use. I highly recommend it.
