This was an awesome buy! Comes in a sturdy case and the bits are manufactured with a good quality material. I love the Milwaukee brand.

 "Where's the Torx bits?" 2010-02-05
By D. Trelford (Scottsdale, Arizona)
These are nice, well made bits in a handy case. There are way too many #2 Phillips bits though and not enough Torx bits for my money. The hinged translucent left side is hard too open while wearing gloves and hard on your finger tips when not wearing gloves. It has three seperate spaces that hold most of the extra bits you'll use. The case is great. It is a heavy plastic and has rubber nibs on all four corners which stop the case from sliding down ramped surfaces. The magnets in the bit extension and nut drivers are all rare earth magnets and work very well. Worth the money in the long run.

"Only 6 Shockwave Advantage TM bits" 2010-01-20
By MendoDan (Ukiah, Ca)
A critical and skeptical reading of the packaging indicates that only 6 of the bits are `Shockwave' or `2" Power Bits' (intentionally vague wording?).

In any case, the one "Power Bit" I have used thus far has held up well to the light duty impact driving done (a handful of screws). The other 19 bits, 3 sockets and one bit holder appear to not be "Shockwave" or "Power Bits". I have not tried them yet, they look nice, but I don't expect them to be any better than any other good quality bits that that hold up for a while to (electric) power usage and then wear out.

I'll let you know if I change my opinion after I have used more bits.

The advertising appears deceptive - a sad commentary for Milwaukee.

Nice box.

"Great little driver set for your brand new drill :)" 2010-01-05
By William J. Luong
Purchased this from Amazon awhile back along with the new rechargeble drill from Milwaukee and I gotta say they are one of the best performing driver bits I own. I have several from Dewalt and these seem to stand up to punishment much more without chipping or breaking from the stress.

One of the most notable +'s is the fact that magnetic attachment is one of the strongest I own and even though I've put it through a bunch of torture tests (recently bought a house need I say more?), it's still able to hold a screw tight.

I highly recommend this to anyone looking to purchase a driver set, you won't regret it!

"great addition of fine quality from milwaukee" 2009-12-24
By Robert B. Clay (jackson ny)
the finish quality far exceeded anything from Stanley=Dewalt. Easy to use container/box. The bits showed very little wear after building two large decks and interior house finishing. The axial out of round connections were minimal compared to the box store examples. What I like the best from Milwaukee tools is you get great value and Quality all the time!

 "Maybe good for plastic." 2009-11-17
By L. Ballard (Utah)
The first one I used went dull in about 20 seconds. It barely left a mark on the glass I was working with. The next one I used was on soft metal. Very unimpressive. You get what you pay for. Buy Ryobi drills if you want to grind through glass.

"Good deal for the price" 2009-03-12
By Charlie Howard (Wine Country, USA)
This set of 20 bits costs less than one high-quality diamond bit from other sources, and the bits did the job for which they were purchased.

Used them to drill two 1/8 inch diameter holes in non-tempered window glass. This must be done slowly to avoid overheating and possibly fracturing the glass. Used several different bits to change shapes in the hope of making it go faster. When done, the holes were fine and all of the bits still seemed to have their abrasive surfaces.

I've read elsewhere that a high-quality diamond bit will last for perhaps three holes like these, and that it takes about two minutes to make one hole. Well, it took about 30 minutes per hole, but more than half of that time was spent pausing to let the glass and bit cool off. Since all of the bits still have diamond grit on them, it seems likely that they'll be able to make several more holes before wearing out.

NOTE: Tempered glass probably will shatter if drilled. This window didn't have a "tempered" logo in the corner and looked normal when viewed through polarized sunglasses.

"generic diamond point bits for the dremel rotary tool" 2009-01-12

These generic diamond point bits work great on my dremel rotary tool and the price for 20 of them is cheaper than buying 1 bit of the dremel brand. I use them for engraving on glass and they have been great.

"YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR." 2008-12-09
By S. Rutledge
Would not recomend to a serious carver. The first tiny bit I used on wood snapped just below the carving bit in about 30 seconds. I knew they were not of the best quality but I figured them to at least do better than that.... Even though cheap its a waste of money." I did get a better result from the larger bit. So beware with the tiny ones if you get this...

 "Dull" 2010-02-15
By B. Seltzer (California United States)
The price is great, but the bits were too dull. I cleaned up and tested the 3/4 straight edge and then the 3/8 straight edge with the same results. On a fir 2x4 it was impossible to make a cut and not have large burn marks. Slower or faster, 3/16 deap cuts, etc. didnt make much difference. A Freud 0.5x2CL straight edge bit from HD for $22 cut the same wood with the same router with no problems. Others seem happy with this bit kit, so maybe I got an infrequent duller set.

"MLCS 8377 Router Bit Set...." 2009-12-23
By G. Hamilton (Tacoma, WA.)
Recently I searched several sites for a beginners router bit set. After considering several sets I decided to go with the MLCS 8377 1/2" shank 15 piece set offered on Amazon. After placing my order I received my bits within a couple days. The set was as represented and consistent with the reviews I had read prior to ordering. I've used several bits so far and so far, so good. I'm happy with my purchase and believe it to be a good value.

The only thing I missed during the order process was taking advantage of the "Free Shipping" offer. During check-out they had the "Standard Shipping" tab highlighted as the default, not the "Free Shipping" tab. I missed it and ended up paying $6.00 for shipping instead of receiving "Free Shipping" as offered. I see it as an inexpensive lesson but suggest that if you order anything with "Free Shipping" that you review your order carefully prior to hitting the "Process This Order" button. By the time I realized I had missed it the order had already processed and couldn't be changed. No big deal, I'm still happy with the product, perceived value and quick shipment.

As a remodel contractor I've used older MLCS bits for years and have had them re-sharpened. This set is a great value. Not as durable as Whiteside or Amana, but for occasional use they work just fine.

Have not used this set yet, but its appears well made. If the box they came in is an indicator, this set should be very good.

 "High quality, very handy." 2010-02-09
By sgeise (South West Fl United States)
I use my Wave everyday at work. The reason I bought this extension is for the times when the fastener I'm removing is a little recessed. Sometimes the wave is just too big to get in close enough otherwise. It's well built, inexpensive and fits well in the Leatherman sheath.

"This extension makes life easier!" 2009-12-18
By Kevin Ford (Westchester, NY)
I love my Leatherman Wave, and wouldn't trade it for any other personal multi-tool, but there were times that it was hard to drive screws in tight spaces without hitting my knuckles, and times when I couldn't reach a recessed screw because the tool was too thick. This extension takes care of these problems and makes the tool more like a regular screw-driver. It works with all of the bits that come stock with the Leatherman, and all of the extra bits that you can buy for it.

I highly recommend it.

 "Leatherman Bit Driver Extension" 2009-12-14
By B. A. Dilger (Charlotte, NC USA)
The Leatherman Bit Driver Extension converts your Leatherman New Wave and other models into a nifty long shafted screwdriver (or "bits"). While there is a little "looseness" to the device, it makes getting to deeper set screws easier. With a bit accessory pack you are now prepared to insert or remove a wide variety of bit designs. Recommended for the handyman.

"Good extension for the Skeletool" 2009-12-11
By Scott R. Keiser
Combine this with the Skeletool and you can leave the pliers closed to use the screwdriver. This can hold Leatherman and standard 1/4" hex bits which leaves you open to any bit on the market. The only reason I give this a 4 star instead of 5 is that it seems a bit loose in the Skeletool. It just does not click in like the normal bits. Other than that this is a great tool and fits perfectly in the pouch that the Leatherman 42 bits comes with giving you versatility to tackle nearly any situation.

By R. Monk (Spanish Fork, Utah)
Great addition to my Leatherman, provides versatility as to the bits I can use since it accepts six sided 1/4" as well as the Leatherman variety plus it is always with me. It fits perfectly in the pocket of the sheath on the opposite side of the flashlight that came with my WAVE. "Now I'm ready"

"Cheap Chinese junk, but some of them work" 2010-01-23
By Wile E Coyote
About 60% of the bits are usable. All but two of the Hex bits are so badly cast that they're basically round, and the holes are all drilled off centre. The larger Torx bits are ok, but the smaller ones are about as much use as the hex bits. I have so many Torx and hex drivers, that it doesn't bother me - but if that's what you need, then don't expect much from this set. The other bits are reasonable and have done the job so far. They're all labeled CRV, but I suspect Carbon Steel. Not bad for a fiver (but don't pay shipping, just go to harbour freight).

The triwing bits were too thick for the Wii, so this toolkit was useless for fixing the Wii. It probably won't work on most delicate technology.
