We ordered two of these batteries as replacements for silver batteries that we had been using and recharging for years in our Dustbuster 7.2v. We charged these new gold batteries for at least 24 hours before using them, but they still drained within only a few seconds -- fewer than 10 seconds. In spite of repeated attempts to charge the batteries, both in the Dustbuster and in the external charger, on only one occasion did the Dustbuster function for more than 5-10 seconds.

So happy to find this Black & Decker VersaPak VP110 replacement battery on Amazon. It was a very good value (cheaper than other websites and the shipping was FREE) and received it in record time. It is actually a better battery than the one I had which was the silver one. Luckily they were interchangeable. Now my screwdriver works again. Thanks Amazon!

I have been using the Versa-pak powered tools for years, and though they are underpowered by todays's standards, they still do the job. These packs are expensive, but they are well made and long lasting, and if you want to continue to use the B&D tools, you have to have them. I recommend the gold over the standard, they give you a longer time between charges.

Replaced the original batteries that came with my cordless vacuum. Not surprisingly, it's back to running like it did when it was new (funny how a new power supply can do that!). Have tried the batteries briefly and seems to be much more powerfull than the Nicad version. The Nicad were useless and broke down very quickly, making my tools useless. Impossible to find The NiMh in Holland.
