Doubletape 25' Two Sided Measuring Tape

DoubleTape was conceived and created by a professional tradesman who realized how much easier his work would be if a tape measure could be read from the underside.

DoubleTape measuring tape will make any measuring job easier. The measurements are printed on both the upper and lower surface of the blades. Unlike normal tapes which buckle when turned over, DoubleTape blade remains rigid for overhead use. This saves time, effort, and frustration. With DoubleTape, take advantage of the excellent standout length; extend the tape overhead with one hand. Take the measurement from the underside of the tape and use your free hand for marking. You won't need to wrestle like you would with ordinary tapes, and you won't need a helper to hold the tape.

Markings are in Feet and Inches with additional highlighting at each 16 inch length for marking standard studs. Additional markings are also at each 485mm interval for use with side studs.

 "Handy" 2010-04-02
By Ray McCullie (Missouri United States)
I was surprised this hadn't been done before and it seems like these aren't being made anymore, which is a shame. It's a nice tape, not as good as a Stanley but it can do something a Stanley can't. The big advantage to having the marking on both sides of the tape, for me, is measuring stock. Having the tape across the underside of a sheet or board instead of on top make it very easy to look down and see the edge of the board on the tape, rather then having the tape on the edge of the board and dealing with parallax.

For the price I'd recommend picking one up. They say you can never have too many clamps, I'd say that was true of tapes and levels too.

 "GREAT tape measure" 2010-01-20

My husband received this for Christmas and has LOVED it!! He's had many tape measures in his life, but he said this has been the most useful and the most durable...that's saying something!!

"Best measuring tape I've ever had." 2009-12-17
By HDS (Wheelersburg, OH)
This is a great tape. Well made. Operates smoothly. The lock is easily operated with your thumb. And easy to read measurements on both sides of the tape. Very handy when working overhead. The tape is narrower than my other tapes, which actually makes it easier to use. It is also stiffer, holding out well past 6 feet horizontal unsupported. This is now about the only tape I use. By far the best measuring tape I have ever used.

"This Sure Looks Like A Heck Of A Bargain To Me!" 2009-11-27
By T. Coleman (Texas)
I'm not a person who ordinarily thrills on a tape measure. I'm not a carpenter, not in construction, never have been in a type of work where carrying one on my belt was part of the job. I use a tape measure around the house.... ummm... measuring things.

So, if you want a "pro" review, try some others. If you want the opinion of a retired old fart who simply appreciates quality, value and one heck of a bargain, let me tell you my part briefly.

It's neat that it will stand on end and reach the celing. A neighbor lady truly respected its stamina.

It has all the measurements I need, up to twenty-five feet. If an inch needs to be divided by more than 32, then I don't have any use for that inch.

It has those measurements on both sides, in case you're standing upside down.

The rubberized case feels sexy and grips firmly.

The wind-up gizmo (to use tech terms) works nicely.

Holding it makes a person feel like a pro, even when he/she's not. It's doggone weighty, that it is.

It has a belt clip so you can wear it to the supermarket, feeling like the pro you aren't. Until the above-mentioned weight pulls your pants down too far.

Priced in the six buck area on Prime seems almost obscene and I suggest grabbing this now because I doubt that Amazon will use it as a lightning deal since it's already priced incredibly low. Again, I'm no expert; but I do see a bargain here.

I'll betcha pros can see that, too.

"Solid Measuring Tape. Excellent Value!" 2008-06-03
By T. Tina Su (Seattle, Washington)
I received this as a gift and loves it. It's got a nice heavy-duty feel with the solid grip. I was using it for furniture placement planning and found my old measuring tape limiting for large furnitures.

This tape extends to a nice long 25 feet, the curve on the tape prevents it from bending backwards, and there's measurement on both sides so you can easily read it when measuring something overhead (ie. the ceiling). This measuring tape is great value and a very useful tool for any home.

 "Great for the price" 2010-05-24
By Eagle Aye
I've had this for about 8 months and use it on a weekly basis to blow leaves and grass clippings. The blower arrived in great condition with no visible damage, etc. that I've read about purchasing re-conditioned tools. It takes approx. 5 pulls to get it started, then warms up quickly and ready to go. I've not had any problems with the tubing coming off as others have mentioned. I used the vac 1x which made quick work of picking up the leaves. It has a plastic blade with a metel piece to help with the rough stuff. Overall, for weekend use, I am happy with this purchase.

 "Great Product, Great Value" 2010-05-21
By Firstnationalbankomaha (Westland,MI)
Don't buy this leaf blower planning to gift it as a new product. It is noticeably used, however, they do replace the engine. I am very pleased with the product for my own personal use. Great value for the price. Buy for yourself and enjoy the savings.

 "a nightmare" 2010-05-18
By Anthony B. Buividas
I always thought that Ryobi was a good product.

However, I didn't know that their stuff is reconditioned.

I took a chance and purchased a gas blower from them.

You could tell it was reconditioned. Items packed loosely in the box.

Didn't look too bad. Filled it up with recommended fuel mix. Followed all instructions on priming, etc.

Took at least 10 pulls to start it. I figured 1st time would be a little harder for gas to get up into system.

Did it again the next day, and the next. Same problem.

Then I tried it again and pull start cord came out, but would not retract. Totally useless at this time.

I sent it back for a credit on my account.

I spoke with a person who does lawn work who had similar problems. He had to send his back 2 times before he got one that worked. I couldn't be bothered.

Rather get another brand which is brand new. No more recons for me.

 "Excellent Value" 2010-05-15
By G. Kroth (North Carolina USA)
I received this and had it assembled in a jiffy. It starts easily and does a decent job for a 24 cc engine.

CONS: It was running lean at high speeds out of the box. The fuel mixture adjustments are readily accessable BUT, THEY CANNOT BE ADJUSTED EASILY!!!

(EPA STRIKES AGAIN!!)

After attempts with several tools, I was able to turn the high speed adjusting screw. If I have to do any more adjustments, i will cut slots in the adjustment screw heads with a Dremel tool.

After adjustment was done, it ran great. Too bad it was not adjusted properly at the factory.

I didn't buy this for the vacuum feature as vacuuming is VERY tedious. It is a good product selling point but that's it, in my opinion. Furthermore, if you vacuum up stones or other hard objects, you would likely break the blower impeller.

 "This thing sucks" 2010-05-13
By Jerad P. Hyde
I just got the ryobi blower in and boy was it a waste of my time even opening the package. the thing started on the first 3 pulls and everything else went downhill. Pushed the trigger and heard some rattle then the rattle got loader and the darn thing stopped. Would not start after that. The unit looked like it had been thrown in a gravel pit but i understand it is reconditioned but not to have it run is unforgiveable. called customer service and they said mail it back and they will refund my money. I guess we will see about that. Well going to Home depot to get an echo like i should have done in the first place. Dont waste your time or money on this POS.

 "A great first Iron" 2010-02-16
By Brandon Barkley
This is my first soldering iron, and I have to say, its pretty good. It heats up fast, and does what it has to; solder. Although I do wish the warning light would change colors when it was hot. Only complaint so for.

 "Nice tool!" 2010-02-16
By Ryan Hollis (The great state of Mississippi)
This soldering iron works well. There is nothing to complain about for the soldering iron.

The included stand is a piece of garbage. I had never soldered before I bought this, and didn't really think about how hot this thing is, and i burned some paper on my desk because of the stand. Just be careful with it instead of stupid like me, and it could suffice, but i recommend getting some kind of holder.

The package includes a small amount of solder, enough for a few projects. The iron has two different tips.

I only have to solder something once every blue moon and usually have to borrow a soldering iron from someone else. But for $15 and free shipping this does the trick.

"Perfect for doing small electrical jobs." 2010-01-20

It worked perfectly. The unit heats up pretty fast. I wish there was a switch on the iron, but at this price, I can't complain. Extra solder is always nice too. Very happy with the purchase.

 "Good Value" 2009-12-10
By J. Brown (Friendswood, Texas)
I bought this guy for some basic soldering when splicing wires. Mainly 12v stuff for trailers or hunting decoys, etc. Just small 22-18 gauge stuff and it works great. I do wish the stand it comes with was a bit better, but for the price, I'm not going to complain too much.
