I use my knife a lot for work. I am constantly opening packages or stripping the isulation off wires. I cut a variety of materials on a daily basis. I have always relied on stones which I keep at home to keep my knife sharp. Now I can get a very sharp knife in just a few seconds right on the job.

Dont be fooled by its size. I tried this on one of our kitchen knives. Sharpening my knife with this for less than a minute made my blunt knife sharper than what it was when I bought it. My wife is very pleased that we didn't waste money on this. Excellent product.

The Pocket Pal is a quality sharpener and it does a fairly good job of putting a serviceable edge on your knife. However, I get irked by companies advertising these sharpeners as needing only "3 or 4" strokes on the carbide rods to produce a good edge. These sharpeners work but be prepared to spend more than " a few strokes" worth of time getting your knife sharp.

I bought this sharpener intending to use it for sharpening broad heads. This is a great touch up sharpener for knives and scissors, but it is not the best for broad heads. I can only make good contact with about 50% of the blade surface. For the price it pays for itself to touch up knives when skinning and dressing game but is still not as good as a full sharpening set to totally restore a ruined edge, but then again I don't think it was designed to replace a multi-stone sharpener. I have seen this item at other sporting good stores for twice the price so I ordered two!
