I try to always do my research before purchasing online, and in this case, I thought I had.



The product description clearly states "Rotary tool includes 30 accessories to perform wide variety of tasks"



What I received was:

2 clamps,

4 sanding drums and the shaft to hold them,

20 cut-off discs and the shaft to hold them.

THAT'S IT!

Could someone please enlighten me as to "the wide variety of tasks" one could do with only sanding drums and cut-off discs?



As for the tool itself, I have no problem- I understand that it won't accept 3/32" Dremel bits.



My advice is to skip the disappointment of this package and buy just the tool alone, then the accessories you want, separately.

Better then the brand dremal this thing with a diamond cutting disk was ripping threw the steel of my case and is a wonderful thing!!! almost complant no extra size attatchments....had to but a wider post so use my buffer wheel on but hey for like 40 bucks its a steal!!!

The product itself is fine however the photo and the advertisement of multiple accessories was misleading. The 20 plus accesories were only multiple sanding discs however you were lead to believe they were additional bits. As for the carrying case, as you can see from the photo and what you got were totally different. What you see on the photo is a carrycase that folded, what I got was a vinyl pouch.

This was ordered to use with my quarter sheet sander. I haven't found much use for the old machine nor my belt sander since getting this sander. With the quick change paper, I can shape with the 80 grit, and finish with the finer grits in seconds. I think this is second only to my table saw in my shop. There is virtually no dust when used with a vacuum. Good product, good price, and good results.

I've had this product-- or a really similar model -- for well over five years. The pad has now given up the ghost, and I'd be tempted to just replace it and keep on chugging except for the whole dust collection issue. The cloth bag isn't fantastic at preventing fine dust from escaping, but what's really bad is the attachment mechanism of the bag to the machine. It's a simple twist-on arrangement that would fairly frequently detach during use, sending clouds of dust everywhere and of course creating a mess as the partly-full bag would fall on the bench or floor. Also, emptying the bag creates large amounts of dust-- you can't tap it on the edge of a wastebasket, since it's a fabric-covered spring, so you kind of have to squeeze it, releasing more clouds of dust. So I think I'm going to skip the new pad and move on to something with better on-board dust collection.

This is an excellent jigsaw for those who use one frequently. Infrequent users will forget where the on/off switch is and will fumble around for it. If your postioning allows, keep one index finger or thumb on the switch so you can shut it off immediately when necessary. The top handle model has the trigger in an intuitive position but the trade off is your hand is further away from the blade with less control - when using one hand.

I bought the Bosch 1591EVSK barrel grip a couple weeks ago based off of the positive reviews and Bosch's reputation.



First let me say that it is a very solid jigsaw. Plenty of power and the barrel grip gives you extra control. My major complaint is safety. There is an on/off switch on the side of the barrel. Bosch should have used a safety switch similar to what Milwaukee's angle grinders use. If the saw ever got out of your hands it would continue to run. Another point that I do not like is the speed adjustment is located on the end of the barrel making it difficult to adjust the speed while operating the saw.

I needed a jigsaw but couldn't decide whether to pay ~[...] for the Bosch or ~80 for the Craftsman. Here's my thinking behind my first attempt of filling my jigsaw void... "Hmmm??? The blade goes up and down, right?,,, Anyone can do that, right? I KNOW, just in case the CM saw sucks I'll put Bosch blades in it and I'll spend half the money as I would if I went with the Bosch. BONUS!!!!! ~ in this week's ad Sears is having a SALE on power tools,,, I can get the Craftsman jigsaw for 60 bucks,,,, DONE DEAL, Craftsman jigsaw with Bosch blades and all will be good."



WRONG!!! Just like the shoes didn't make Michael Jordan who he was (sorry Nike) the blades aren't going to make the Craftsman jigsaw any better than what it is. After a few cuts with the Craftsman jigsaw I quickly learned that there's more to a jigsaw then a blade going up and down. The jigsaw has to be easy to control, comfortable and produce a quality cut; all things that the Craftsman falls way short on.



My attempt at 'saving money' ended up costing me more. Here's why I ended up buying the Bosch 1591EVsk Barrel Grip Jigsaw....



CONTROL - Typically it takes a few cuts to get a feel for a power tool. My first cut with the Bosch was heaven. I Immediately felt in control. I wasn't being anymore patient with this saw than I was with the CM but due to the reduced vibration in the Bosch vs the CM the Bosch gave me the control to cut a 4" port accurately and with the quality I was looking for in a jigsaw. I was also using the same USED blade that I used in the CM saw so it was saw vs saw. The barrel design allowed me to make curved cuts easier because it didn't require my entire arm to move along with the saw. I think the barrel design is much easier to maneuver than the typical jigsaw handled designs.



COMFORT - The Bosch Barrel Grip is comfortable and fits 'like a glove' and allows you to make accurate tight controlled curves. The lack of bulkiness and vibration makes the Bosch super comfortable to use.



NOISE - for those of you that have only used the Bosch jigsaw you probably think it's loud. Compared to the CM the Bosch is not loud at all. I always wear ear protection when using power tools but I definitely noticed a difference in the db level between the two.



BLADE CHANGING - BChanging is a snap. pull a lever and it releases the blade. I don't think it gets any easier than that. To insert a blade you push it in and you're ready to go. CAKE!!! Yet another bash on CM,,, there's a big red spring-loaded knob that you need to turn and it's tucked in behind the plastic blade guard. I have small hands and I can barely get to it and turn it to unlock the blade. The spring loaded knob seems like it requires about 30lbs of pressure to turn it. I'm very surprised I didn't break that plastic shield while removing/adding blades in CM.



Quality of cut - The Bosch jigsaw is simply outstanding. The Bosch has a couple of guide pins along with the guide roller to prevent the blade from deflecting, I assume. These guide pins make all the difference in the world for the cut quality. The cut with my CM with a lonely guide roller did not prevent the blade from wandering/deflecting as it cut through a 3/4 inch piece of plywood or 3/4 inch MDF. With the Bosch the cut was straight down and straight up. I said goodbye to the ~22.3degree deflected cut that the POS CM saw left me.



As for the dust collection and other features, I haven't used them much. There is a dust blower that you can turn on and off and it did a fantastic job of keeping the dust off of the line that I was following. I remember this being very frustrating with the CM because I continually had to stop and brush off the line so I could see it (I was wearing a face mask so I couldn't blow off the dust) or setup a fan to constantly blow off the material.



Nice to haves - Anti Splintering insert, No-Mar faceplate and a rugged case that allows you to store the saw WITH the blade installed unlike the CM fabric bag.



The Moral of the story ~ don't skimp on power tools ... go with the best if you care about the quality of what the tool is supposed to do.

i got this saw a few days ago and i'm happy with the product. i read many reviews and compared jig saws from top manufacturers, such as festool and hilti. hear is my observations.



the bottom of this saw is a metal plate, not the part that bevels but the very bottom that touches the work piece, and it can be replaced if damaged. i like that feature.



the non maring bottom is a seperate attachment that fits over the plate, it fits securely but does not screw or fasten to the bottom. i would have liked a more positive connection but it hasent given me problems yet.



the blade eject is sping loaded and will shoot out hot blades.



Does not accept U shank bosch blades only the T kind.



the saw comes with a splinter free plastic part and it works well. this is a feature found on the festool saw. be sure to order a extras because they wear out and you only get one.



dust extraction vacum connection is sold as a seperate part. i wish i would have ordered that at the time of purchase.



front of the saw gets hot. my hands touched it a few times. dont touch the front metal parts if hot.



the blade stabilazation works suprisingly well. i held a square to a 2x4 curve cut and had only a small wander. PROBLEM, the guides rest directly on the blade. the blade gets very hot and i sometimes hear sqweeking. after a short time the blade shows wear marks from the contact. parts that touch wear out. even carbide. a better design would be bearings like band saw guides. i havent had any problems but the design could be improved.



in all a great saw i recommend you buy one.

get dust extraction kit and splinter free parts at time of purchase.

I was drilling a half inch hole in a 4x4 when the battery quit. Could not get the bit out. Took battery out, went to charger and got spare battery, no problem. Shows fully charged on charger. Put battery in, and it is totally dead. Put previous battery in charger and let it charge. Took an hour off of work, but got bit out and continued on. Drill is less than a year old. Batteries have been charged about three or four times. Called Milwaukee and they gave me the phone number for a service center. Went to service center expecting to get a replacement under guarantee. Battery had to be sent to Memphis, Tennessee because Milwaukee makes the service centers buy the replacements. What a joke. I thought I bought an American made and owned Drill. Batteries are made in Korea and assembled in China! Milwaukee is not the brand it used to be, in my opinion.

Purchased as an upgrade for the NiCd powered drill. No downside to this change at all, in fact, the trusty Milwaukee 18V drill seems to run a trifle faster and keeps working for days on end before recharge is needed. This will replace multiple NiCd's that were rebuilt a time or two and are getting old and tired. The recharge could be fast enough in practical use so that an extra may not be needed or a while.

Heavy, powerful, aggressive, and tunable...



This saw will plow though just about anything or it can be configured to be gentle and precise. The orbital action is completely tunable for zero to full orbit. The stoke speed can be controlled by dial & trigger. The saw is solid and well built. It shreds through wood & nails & just about anything else.



The worst thing I can say about the saw is that the case is not amazing. I miss the old metal case from the original Sawzall.



In short this is a great saw.

I borrowed this from a friend of mine to take some old cast iron plumbing out of my crawlspace. All kinds of folks tried to talk me into using something else to cut the cast iron drain pipes (2"+ thick).



I bought the Diamond grit black blade for this, and it -D-E-S-T-R-O-Y-E-D- those pipes. In a good way. Sliced through it in maybe 3 minutes (i had read some people say a sawzall would take me an hour to do each cut). Cut through some 1-1/2 in copper pipe as well. Super clean cut.



I will be purchasing this soon, and all i can say is nothing in my house is safe, haha

A bought my first Milwaukee Sawzall around 1980. I think they were around 5 amps then. (I still have it kept in reserve.) I then moved up to a Super Sawzall around 1989 and rarely used my old one because the `Super' version was so much better (Although it was bigger and heavier). It ran flawlessly with exception of brush and cord replacements for many years. It went down around a year and a half ago at which time I bought the latest incarnation of the Super version.



I was a little put off by a few of the reviews I saw saying they are now made in Taiwan and are plastic and cheaper. But I bought it anyway. Over the years I had tried a few other brands that were out on jobs and they were all 'junk' compared to the Milwaukees.



After using this latest 15 amp version of the Milwaukee Sawzall I am impressed with the extreme power, smoothness (low vibration), speed, and lighter weight. A superior experience from a superior line of industrial grade portable power tools.



This has been the best Sawzall yet.

Accurate Fixed and Plunge Base Cuts
This versatile kit provides all the components necessary for fixed-depth routing and plunge routing, as well. Microfine bit depth adjustment systems on both bases allow for accurate and fast bit depth adjustments. The microfine adjustment has an overall range of one inch and is accurate to 1/64 inch.

Both bases also feature the Bosch Precision Centering Design, which allows the bit to be centered with the subbase or optional template guides. This makes it easier than ever to keep the bit on the intended cutting-line when using guidance devices such as jigs, templates, or dovetail fixtures.

Both of the included bases, fixed and plunge, feature quick clamp systems for quick tool-free conversions, so moving the motor between the two bases takes only seconds and requires no tools. I was routing a raised panel door today and the routed fell and dropped to the bottom of the Bosch routed table that is a piece of junk. The screws are stripped out and I will have to find longer screws and put nuts on the ends.

Surely Bosch can do better than this.

I stumbled upon Bosch when the reverse went out on my small drill. I was in the market for a new tool, and I bought a Bosch. After holding the tool in my hand for the first time, I just couldn't get over the professional weight and feel of such a great priced tool.



Being sold on the Bosch brand name, I kept them in the running when I was researching routers. I have scoured many reviews across the Internet and there have been many reported problems with the switch ceasing to work - especially when used in a router table where the sawdust can really be a problem. Other than the switch issue, almost all other review aspects were excellent, so I decided to give it a go.



I couldn't be happier with the tool. I have put this router through many months of heavy use and I have not seen one problem. My only caveat would be that I did cut the corner out of a sandwich bag and, using electical tape, sealed off the switch. I did this purely due to the reviews I read, so I really couldn't tell you if there is a switch issue or not. What I can tell you is that, with a little preventative maintenance, my router does not have the problem.



The pro's:



1. The gradual start is an outstanding feature. No SURPRISE when you hit the switch.



2. The variable speed control works great and the router has an excellent range of speeds.



3. The depth control knob is easily accessible when mounted in a router table.



4. I have found the plunge base easy to work with.



5. Some don't like them, but, personally, I really like the wood handles on the fixed base.



6. This is just a solid tool.



Con's:



If any, I have only found one. The bits are a little hard to change. I personally don't change them that much. I have been installing chair railing and quarter round moldings, so these are big jobs with not many bit changes.

I purchased this router two-months-ago. The manufacturing and quality control is substandard. A chip has broken from the plunge base (thankfully the tool was off). Save yourself the trouble and buy a Porter Cable 690 so you don't have to talk to Bosch's useless service department.

What a great tool! You can really feel the quality just by lifting it out of the box. comes with a great carrying case. Easy to switch over from plunge base to fixed base. Plenty of power. I would definitely recommend to a friend!
