"Great saw - powerful and solid..." 2010-03-31
By Will Deutsch
Heavy, powerful, aggressive, and tunable...

This saw will plow though just about anything or it can be configured to be gentle and precise. The orbital action is completely tunable for zero to full orbit. The stoke speed can be controlled by dial & trigger. The saw is solid and well built. It shreds through wood & nails & just about anything else.

The worst thing I can say about the saw is that the case is not amazing. I miss the old metal case from the original Sawzall.

In short this is a great saw.

I borrowed this from a friend of mine to take some old cast iron plumbing out of my crawlspace. All kinds of folks tried to talk me into using something else to cut the cast iron drain pipes (2"+ thick).

I bought the Diamond grit black blade for this, and it -D-E-S-T-R-O-Y-E-D- those pipes. In a good way. Sliced through it in maybe 3 minutes (i had read some people say a sawzall would take me an hour to do each cut). Cut through some 1-1/2 in copper pipe as well. Super clean cut.

I will be purchasing this soon, and all i can say is nothing in my house is safe, haha

 "Best Sawzall Yet" 2010-02-23
By padrick (Pleasant Hill, CA USA)
A bought my first Milwaukee Sawzall around 1980. I think they were around 5 amps then. (I still have it kept in reserve.) I then moved up to a Super Sawzall around 1989 and rarely used my old one because the `Super' version was so much better (Although it was bigger and heavier). It ran flawlessly with exception of brush and cord replacements for many years. It went down around a year and a half ago at which time I bought the latest incarnation of the Super version.

I was a little put off by a few of the reviews I saw saying they are now made in Taiwan and are plastic and cheaper. But I bought it anyway. Over the years I had tried a few other brands that were out on jobs and they were all 'junk' compared to the Milwaukees.

After using this latest 15 amp version of the Milwaukee Sawzall I am impressed with the extreme power, smoothness (low vibration), speed, and lighter weight. A superior experience from a superior line of industrial grade portable power tools.

This has been the best Sawzall yet.

 "Good tool, good service." 2009-12-25
By Chris Mcdowell (Idaho, ID)
Bought this saw, and was impressed... then, after about 27 days and about an hour of use, the motor burned up... Used amazon's return system, and sent a replacement 2-day fed-ex. I was very impressed with the way amazon took care of the issue. Still haven't put more than an hour of use on the saw, but seems to be good.

 "Home and rental remodel" 2009-11-17
By Jerry Christensen
I'm in constant use of my tools remodeling and repairing my rental properties. The reciprical saw I bought through Amazon was everything I have grown to expect from Amazon. It was true to the high ratings given by earlier reviews. Quality saw, great power with smooth action while in use and and the blades are easy and fast to change. This saw replaced a Porter Cable I have been usings for close to 20 years.

Long nails into hardwood? No problem. Working overhead? It's only 4.2 pounds. Hate having the exhaust in your face? Tool-free, 360-degree adjustment takes care of that. No time for jams? Clearing takes no more than a couple of seconds because of the quick-release nose. The magazine is made of nylon, but it seems as rugged to us as any metal magazine out there. That's also why this nailer is so easy on the hands. Add to that a nicely padded grip and a selective trigger and you'd think you have the perfect nailer. But get this—there's a built-in dust blower that clears light debris and dust from your workpiece. Hitachi quality leaves nothing to want.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

 "Problem-Free" 2010-03-28
By Paul R. (Chicago, IL)
This finish nailer was reviewed here as the best, and I bought it for that reason. I haven't tried anything else and see no need to. This product is solid, has performed for 2 years for me with absolutely no problems. The case makes sure that it stays in great condition.

Highly recommended.

 "First pneumatic nailer- success!" 2010-03-20
By C. Berschinski (Mahomet, Il.)
I usually do my homework before a purchase this being no exception. This Hitachi is esay to use, light weight, versatile- it shoots from 1 1/4 to 2 1/2 inch nails. I was able to find the nails at both Lowes and Home Depot.

I was way up on a ladder installing specialty moulding and also doing baseboard at ground level. I have been doing it for years with finishing nails and a nail punch- afraid I am now hooked on these pneumatic air nailers- about time :)

"Great for Contractors or Nome projects" 2010-03-15
By Roger E. Bird (oakland)
My wife has decided that she wanted new crown moulding through out the house. She works for a remodeling contactor, so I asked the capenters which gun I should get. They all agreed that the Hitachi NT65MA2 was the most consistent and durable. It's light weight, has a dust blower built in, easy to use. It uses any standard nails, except Bostich ( and Bostich doesn't use anybody elses nails except theirs). It well make for a easy job of putting up my moulding.

"well made and trouble free operation" 2010-02-21
By James Stahlheber (Avon, Ohio United States)
Used to face and tongue nail 3/4 hardwood flooring.

I bought the nailer to replace a very old Pasload 16 ga. nailer that kept double striking. I found that the stouter 15 guage nails seemed to hold the flooring better as well.

This unit worked flawlessly and was very easy to position the nose into the flooring tongue when my big nailer ran out of space. I also used it to face nail the flooring and it was easy to adjust the depth of the nail head penetration.

In comparing the prices at the big box stores for similar guns, I found the price of the Hitachi very reasonable.

Nails are available everywhere in various lengths.

"Absolutly the best gun out there, hands down" 2010-01-21
By lilcritchy (So. Cal.)
Gosh, where do you even begin, with a nail gun like the Hitachi NT65MA2? I've been a Superintendent for both residential and commercial for 5 years, and this is the gun I was seeing day in and day out, for all finish work. The handle is great, the balance is good, its light weight, easy to load, and I personally have never had my jamb up but it's extremely easy to remove jamb nails with the latch right on the front. It has the moving directional exhaust, which is very nice, when you don't want to get the exhaust shooting you in the face at times. But the best part of this gun I feel is the air blower button. When you're installing baseboard or anything on the floor, it's annoying when you have to sweep up all the little pcs. of tile, or grout then you get back to that section and there's more. Those days of carrying around a little duster are over. If you want a gun that's going to get handed down from generation to generation this Hitachi is for you. This isn't the only Hitachi gun I own and they are all absolutely perfect to me. Also I'm a huge fan of tools that have cases, and this nail gun comes with a very nice Hitachi case and safety glasses, also I was able to get a box of 1000 2 1/2 finish nails in it also and nothing moves around its little things like that, that make your day go by easier. Sorry this review was kind of long and off subject a little maybe, but when I buy things the reviews are what you need to base your buy on sometimes, because were all people who have already purchased the item, and used it. I own a small General Contracting Co. and websites like Amazon always seem to have the best prices, and that what small business are looking for to keep afloat. Hope this review was helpful. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
