I've had this for about 8 months and use it on a weekly basis to blow leaves and grass clippings. The blower arrived in great condition with no visible damage, etc. that I've read about purchasing re-conditioned tools. It takes approx. 5 pulls to get it started, then warms up quickly and ready to go. I've not had any problems with the tubing coming off as others have mentioned. I used the vac 1x which made quick work of picking up the leaves. It has a plastic blade with a metel piece to help with the rough stuff. Overall, for weekend use, I am happy with this purchase.

Don't buy this leaf blower planning to gift it as a new product. It is noticeably used, however, they do replace the engine. I am very pleased with the product for my own personal use. Great value for the price. Buy for yourself and enjoy the savings.

I always thought that Ryobi was a good product.
However, I didn't know that their stuff is reconditioned.
I took a chance and purchased a gas blower from them.
You could tell it was reconditioned. Items packed loosely in the box.
Didn't look too bad. Filled it up with recommended fuel mix. Followed all instructions on priming, etc.
Took at least 10 pulls to start it. I figured 1st time would be a little harder for gas to get up into system.
Did it again the next day, and the next. Same problem.
Then I tried it again and pull start cord came out, but would not retract. Totally useless at this time.
I sent it back for a credit on my account.
I spoke with a person who does lawn work who had similar problems. He had to send his back 2 times before he got one that worked. I couldn't be bothered.
Rather get another brand which is brand new. No more recons for me.

I received this and had it assembled in a jiffy. It starts easily and does a decent job for a 24 cc engine.
CONS: It was running lean at high speeds out of the box. The fuel mixture adjustments are readily accessable BUT, THEY CANNOT BE ADJUSTED EASILY!!!
(EPA STRIKES AGAIN!!)
After attempts with several tools, I was able to turn the high speed adjusting screw. If I have to do any more adjustments, i will cut slots in the adjustment screw heads with a Dremel tool.
After adjustment was done, it ran great. Too bad it was not adjusted properly at the factory.
I didn't buy this for the vacuum feature as vacuuming is VERY tedious. It is a good product selling point but that's it, in my opinion. Furthermore, if you vacuum up stones or other hard objects, you would likely break the blower impeller.

I just got the ryobi blower in and boy was it a waste of my time even opening the package. the thing started on the first 3 pulls and everything else went downhill. Pushed the trigger and heard some rattle then the rattle got loader and the darn thing stopped. Would not start after that. The unit looked like it had been thrown in a gravel pit but i understand it is reconditioned but not to have it run is unforgiveable. called customer service and they said mail it back and they will refund my money. I guess we will see about that. Well going to Home depot to get an echo like i should have done in the first place. Dont waste your time or money on this POS.
