This design allows you to easily change the angle of the cutting blade for creating miters in crown molding and other trim pieces. The included 10-inch tungsten carbide tooth (TCT) saw blade makes easy work of delicate trim and other woodwork, and the large extended flip fence raises to 4 inches to allow for accurate cutting of large workpieces up to 2-5/16 inches high and 5-21/32 inches deep.

Full of User-Friendly Features
The C10FCE2 has plenty of features to help you make the perfect cut the first time. To start, a 15-amp motor generates a no-load speed of up to 5,000 RPM for making crosscuts and miters with ease, even on the toughest cutting jobs.

For ease of use, a comfortable horizontal handle with a vibration-reducing elastomer grip keeps you in control at all times, a large table provides a stable guide and sturdy support, and a built-in clamping system holds your workpiece in place.

The C10FCE2 also includes a dust collector that minimizes accumulation of dust and particles in your both your workspace and the saw's interior components, keeping your jobsite clean and prolonging the life of the tool. An added bonus, easily accessible carbon brushes will help your saw perform for the long term.

Weighing just 26.3 pounds, the C10FCE2 is the lightest tool in its class, making it the most portable 10-inch compound miter saw on the market.

Durably built, this tool is backed with an industry-leading five-year warranty. It is compatible with the UU610 Miter Saw Stand from Hitachi.

"After about a year of use - coundn't be happier" 2010-10-23
By Kay Hayes (San Jose, CA USA)
We are in the midst of an extensive home remodel. We bought this simple saw for baseboard, door trim, chopping 2 x 4s for reinforcements and many other jobs. It has proven dependable and up to any task. It is very powerful and has never even slowed down during a cut. It is very stable but light enough to move to another location without difficulty - a nice feature for doing trim in a two story house.

The dust catch bag on the back is of minimal use but does catch maybe twenty five percent. When I bought mine from Amazon in 2009 I even got a Hitachi orbital sander for free in the promotional mail in rebate. I have used the sander extensively also (now the dust catcher on that one really, really works) and couldnt be happier with it either. I guess it just speaks to the quality of the brand.

"Great Saw at a Great Price!" 2010-10-17
By Patrick L. Mccabe (Memphis, TN USA)
This is my second Miter Saw and it was a great buy! I checked the 45, 30 and 90 degree settings, and right out of the box it was perfect. I've, so far, used it on 1 x material and 2x4s - cuts them like a hot knife going through butter. Just in the last couple of days I used it to make a few picture frames (changed to a 60 tooth blade for a very fine and smooth cut) and the cuts were perfect. The preset stops are positive, movement either left or right is smooth and for the price, this is a perfectly great Mitre Saw.

 "Great home-owner miter saw" 2010-09-21
By R. Mance (Albany, NY)
I bought this in the middle of finishing our basement. I borrowed a 12 inch Dewalt that worked ok, but I had to give that back and bought the Hitachi. Maybe just because it was a newer blade, but it cut cleaner than the Dewalt. I really liked the size of it as well.

I used it to cut 2x4 studs, and to do a lot of baseboard/trim cutting, and it worked fantastic. I've bought a couple other Hitachi tools (hammer drill & circular saw), and I have been nothing but pleased at how well they worked, and the value that you get for the price.

At the current price from Amazon, maybe not such a great deal, but Lowe's has this on sale from time to time at $99. It is worth every bit at that price.

I'm very pleased with this hole saw which i have used to cut holes in glass bottles. It takes a steady hand and slow speed, but the 1/2" saw cuts a nice plug through which you can insert a short string of holiday lights to create a very nice decoration piece. I'm sure there are other uses. Quick delivery. I'm very satisfied.

 "Excellent Bits...." 2010-04-26
By T. Franklin (Groton, CT United States)
I was a bit weary when I purchased these, as I too felt they may be a 'cheap' product with little life in them - I was wrong! These diamond bits are a gem in themselves! I have drilled holes in dozens of bottles & other glass items. I use the smallest size most & have never been disappointed. Learn your drill & your glass, keep it wet & lift your bit often so that your glass doesn't get too hot (causing it to crack/break) and you will love these bits! I couldn't be happier with them. I have used them on the most delicate glass, to some pretty hardy glass and they cut through like the glass is butter.

Very nice product!

I was unsure of these bits before I bought them, based purely on the price. I was unsure of these bits when I received them and it looked like they were poorly dipped in glitter glue. I was completely sold on how well these worked when the 1/4" powered through the wine bottle I was working on with ease, no chipping or cracking...For the money I'm not sure you can get any better

This tool takes the place of a lower-torque 200 fps, bottom-line unit, unable to remove high-torque fasteners. I run this off a small capacity 4.2 scfm double hotdog tank unit, and it performs great, for my intermittent use. It's light weight gives it great versatility, and the easy lever torque adjustment puts it head and shoulders above competitors. I needed this to remove force fit self-locking nuts on the driveshaft and CV joints. Five-hundred fifty foot pounds of reverse torque does the job - just fine.

I bought a cheapo air compressor at a yard sale and wanted to buy an impact to use with it. I decided to spend the money on a good impact and went with this one. I cannot say enough good about it. I do simple car repairs at home on our vehicles and this goes above and beyond in fulfilling my needs. I have no doubt it will last me the rest of my life. Spend the $$ and never have to worry about an impact again. These days it is rare to buy a product that is well built and does the job, this one makes the grade. In case you are concerned this impact works great with a $200 Sears air compressor. You don't need an expensive compressor to run it.

"No nonsense impact wrench, lots of power!" 2010-09-16
By K. Chiew (Metro Detroit)
I purchased this impact wrench to replace a very old Craftsman hand me down which doesn't have adequate power. The wrench is finished in very nice composite body with the air ports at the handle of the wrench. Power setting is established with a dial on the rear of the unit. There is a direction switch just below the dial setting. The trigger is very responsive and has variable power delivery. It fits 1/2 inch impact sockets perfectly and has a design where it grips the socket so it doesn't fall off easily.

The very first time I used this was to loosen up axle nut on a 7 year old car driven in the Northern USA climate (salt + road grime). I would presume the torque delivery was very close to its maximum, but after 2-3 seconds of hammering, the axle nut came loose. Pretty impressive. I loosen up both side of the FWD axle in one minute. It saved me time, my back and possibly my knuckles if I would have it done manually with an extra long breaker bar.

The wrench has a very nice balance and is pretty lightweight for its size and torque delivery. Please adhere to its minimum air delivery and pressure (make sure your compressor is up to snuff). The wrench is not so quiet, but I usually use ear plugs around these things anyway. For the price + power delivery + quality of construction, I would comfortable rate it at 5 stars.

"Best on 1/2 inch drywall" 2010-09-16
By Michael Giacomin
I love this little gadget. It works by using strong magnets to pull the bottom piece along while you push the top piece across the drywall following your cutting marks. Because it scores both sides at once you get nice and clean cuts every time. No more frayed back paper because you didn't have a new blade in your utility knife.

One word of caution though. I have used this device on 1/2 inch and 3/8 inch drywall. It works perfectly on the 1/2 inch rock, but it has problems on the thinner stuff. It cuts it fine but it collapses when it comes off the thin sheet and if you are not careful, because of the strong magnets, it can seriously pinch your hands as it collapses together. After which you then have to reset the tool so the halves stand off each other again, and because of the strength of the magnets this isn't so easy to do without risk of yet another pinch. I had to cut a lot of 3/8 drywall once and this was a constant problem. However, this never happens on 1/2 inch and the device works perfectly with it and is pinch free. I have not used it on 5/8 rock yet, but I assume that because it is thicker the device would work pinch free on it too. Certainly on 1/2 inch rock this is a nice little tool.

This tool does a great job. I will say that when i saw this on the internet and tv it looked cheap.

I was really shocked when it arrived and found out how well this tool is constructed. It is a little on the heavy side but that is due to the magnets that helps them to stay together while cutting. I would recommend buying extra blades at the time of purchase cause you cant find them in local stores.I do wish that the sides were straight so you could run it down a straight edge, but if you are good at using the tape measure while cutting it is just as good as using a straight edge.Blade replacement is very easy to do.overall this is a very safe and easy way to cutting drywall. i have even starteds to let my 10 yr old son to cut drywall with this and he has so much fun doing it. also go on youtube and make sure to watch the video on this it really does what the video shows [...].

"Great saw for serious DIY'er" 2010-10-15
By Kelly Lichtenwaldt
I used to be a framer. I now work in engineering. I decided to build myself a house, a good 10 years removed from my trade as a framer.

Part of that was to aquire a new set of tools. I got the basics back:

Worm Drive saw

Sliding compound miter saw

Regular bag hand tools

couple of laser levels and a nice Stabila bubble level

table saw

Air nailer(s)

I did a lot of research on the table saw and went to the big box stores to get a feel for a few of them. This saw, hands down, beat everything I checked out including the old clunker I had kicking around my garage.

Fence: easy to use, and accurate. Maybe not furniture guy accurate, but I was able to shave down LVL rim board by 1/32" at a time, and acutally hold the paper thin shaving in my hand.

Included blade: meh. Great for an 'included' blade, but not the nicest one I've used.

Assembly: It's a Bosch. Read the directions, and take your time. I set aside time for assembly instead of trying to put it together and cut wood before coffee time.

Anti-kickback B.S.: So, I've been guilty of taking safety gear apart in an effort to actually use a tool. The anti kick pawls, plastic finger guards and riving knife are still on my saw. They work really well, out of the box, so They stay on, and I use them. 10 out of 10 on those. I had to take them off to cut down an assembled plywood box. A couple of spring loaded clips and it was off. The riving knife slides out of the way and locks below the table. smart, easy to use and efficient.

Power: No banging or circuit breaker-ing. Nice quiet soft start, and gets to speed faster than I can really shove wood into it. Quiet enough to leave on between multiple cuts (like angled bird blocks) without getting to obnoxious. It is, however, a table saw. They're a bit loud.

Ripping: awesome, smooth and handles knotty Hem-Fir, LVL framing material, finish plywood, CDX and Pressure treated plywood with ease.

cross cutting: great, but I use the compound chop saw for most of this.

Blade angle adjustment: I would prefer to see some sort of pressure system here. Once you loosen the release knob, the saw assembly is basically free swinging. makes it hard to adjust fine parameters, and you can easily whack the back of your hand trying to hold the assembly and loosen the keeper at the same time.

Blade depth adjustment: fast and easy. I'd feel better if it had a positive lock for depth. I never saw it move, but I also didn't run dado's or anything that was depth critical.

Gravity Rise Stand: Easy to roll even on it's small tires. I don't like that it won't go up stairs due to wheel size. I also don't like that you set one side, and then the stand rolls toward you to open up. It means you have to make sure you've got room to open up the stand before you start to open it up, and you pace backward. I find that awkward in tight spaces. That being said, it's a snap to fold it up and shove it in a corner when your done. I'm not a fan of the pneumatic tires, but I don't dis-like them.

Push Stick: weird, but completely usable.

Extend-o-table: Works just fine, fence is still straight.

The end result is a great portable table saw. I ripped a bunch of shelves for a friend. Something like a dozen 3/4" plywood pieces 14"x16". Saw cut clean, never bogged down and the fence remained absolutely straight. ALL the shelves were identical in ripped width. I saw no movement of the fence or wobble of the blade over the repetitive cuts. I felt comfortable trimming the shelves by 1/16"; usually I'd leave that to sanding. This saw cuts clean and straight enough to take a half a kerf off without a worry. Same went for 80 framing roof blocks cut from 2x10 with a bevel on them. No problem. Cuts were accurate and clean.

Buy the (not included) left side extension table. Totally worth it.

I don't recommend ripping a full sheet of plywood on this, but that being said, I managed to do it, by myself, with 1/2" ply. ONLY with the extra feed table though.

All the con's don't even come close to outweighing the pro's of this saw. Very happy.

I've owned it for about 6 months now, so I can say with some confidence I'm still very happy and don't regret it for a minute.

"BUY IT! For the money, this saw is TIGHT!" 2010-10-13
By Bullygoat
I purchased the saw with some trepidation. My Craftsman had just given up the ghost. The replacement motor was $20 cheaper than replacing the saw. It had a propensity to tip, while feeding large stock. Bosch has always been a good name. Research yielded one important fact. Bosch had the only motor that you could rebuild. The Depot had a Ridgid with a good warranty, but motor replacement at $300 was only slightly lower than the $500 package.

Down to the brass tacks. The guide is well designed, holds tight, no stray from 0, front to back. Super easy blade height adjustment, no lock-downs to fuss with. The mitre guide is slick, a single wheel locks the lead bar in the track. Easy to pull out after you've made the cut and are ready to move on to the next. A single lock lever frees the blade for mitering flat stock. The riving knife is handy for that twisted lumber we get from time to time. Soft start motor with plenty of strength.

The saw was well designed to accomodate all the accessories. Rip & mitre guides have their own respective hangars and locks. A nice well on the side to carry additional blades. Hooks on the back for spooling the power cord. A nice knob holds the push stick on the back, I use this item just to keep my fingers. Best part, is that there is a hangar for the guard, foot and kick-back pawl, allowing you to carry these items, should you ever need them. I have used them, the set-up for this rig is easy. If done frequently, possible to do it in under 30 seconds.

The accompanying utility table is sweet. It folds up, or out, in 2 seconds. Very well designed, all around. I spent the extra $$ for a dust bag($20+), left table extension($30+?), and the rear table extension($30+?). I couldn't justify another $100 for the laser guide, even though it looks cool. I'd give 'em 6 stars but I did have to spend extra $$ for a larger table and a dust bag. I shouldn't whine, I stole it on Amazon!

 "Great Saw, good stand" 2010-10-08
By G. Hudzik (Michigan)
I have been using this saw and stand, with the table extensions for a little over a year. I started a Handyman business after retirement and the portability factor is very important for me. The saw works flawlessly. The stand is quite nice except for its inability to traverse stairs without damage. It will scrape the front of the step on the way up and down unless you use two people to carry it. I have a Delta miter saw stand (that weighs a ton) that can traverse stairs without damage (larger wheels). So, this is not an insurmountable problem. Bosch engineers, get with it! Other than this problem, you will not be disappointed if you purchase this unit.

"Great saw, but needs a better miter gauge." 2010-09-25
By Lorgan (Chicago)
Great saw. I like the higher deck than its competitors. As others mention, the riving knife is a bit thick, and like most saws in this category it creates a lot of sawdust even with a vacuum attached. Neither of those bother me, but I do have a couple minor complaints.

1. The bevel adjustment isn't on a wheel. You unlock the bevel and it swings around until you lock it at your desired angle. Yeah, it works, but its hard to do that to a high level of precision. The pointer also isn't accurate across all the angles on mine. If you adjust it to show true 0, its off at 45. I know this is a worksite saw, but for the money it should have one. A few competitors saws in this class do.

2. The miter gauge is completely worthless for accurate cuts. It flops around in the slot. A lot. Fortunately Incra miter gauges have a width adjustment that allows them to fit well in the wider slot. Add a $50 Incra 27 when you buy this saw. Fortunately the rip fence is solid and accurate once adjusted. Better than a lot of non-portable saws.

Unfortunately, Amazon no longer has the best price for these. The price jumped $100 the day before I was about to buy one. My local home center had it for $549 plus 10% off though.

I have had this saw for about a year and a half and I love it. Everything is precise, solid, and well thought out. The fence is outstanding. I did upgrade the miter gauge which was the only thing I thought to be a little sloppy and did make my own zero clearance throat plate since Bosch's flexes under downward pressure. All in all an excellent tool and a pleasure to use.

I love this drill! As a 12Volt drill, it is very powerfull. I just got thru upgrading my home-built desktop computer stand. New pc would not fit in it! I made it 3 1/8" taller and added a 120mm fan (117VAC) for coolng too. I used the drill to remove the top of the stand, cut a 3 3/4" hole for the fan and the mouting holes. I added 2 X 6" rails to get more height. Then, I reassembled it! Drill works great! Batteries charges up fast! But, there was a problem with the chuck getting loose A LOT! Sometimes the drill bit would even fall out! Good drill, you might rethink the chuck though! WB

By C. Alarcon (Vancouver, BC, CAN)
My old, no name 24V drill gave up his battery a while ago, barely making a short use after 12 hours of charging. I got this beauty using a gift card from a well known hardware store. I was not sure what kind of drill I needed. I am the on and off weekend handyman at home and one thing that I knew is that I wanted something light yet poweful. My wrists and my neck knew quite well already how bad it is to hold a 24V beast while trying to drill accurately on a horizontal surface while keeping balance on the friggin' ladder. So, I saw this baby on the display area, I held it and noticed how incredibly light it felt. I said, this is it. Well priced, way more torque that my crappy 24V behemot and, best of all, no more sore wrists and arms afterwards. My drill come true.
